She played collegiately at Hofstra, where she was a four-year starter and captain. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts in 1990, staying at Hofstra as Senior Assistant Dean from 1990-95. She was the Director of Admission and Public Relations at the New York School of Interior Design from 1995-96, as she worked on her Master's Degree from Columbia University Teachers College. Anton-Lotruglio completed her M.A. in 1997, then returned to Hofstra for a couple of years as Assistant Dean for Academic Support Services, and Director of the University Tutorial Program.

She eventually moved to the Saratoga Springs area, where she and her husband raised a family, all the while staying involved in lacrosse. She was a lacrosse official, and Vice-President of the Board of Directors of the Saratoga Youth Lacrosse Association, as well as a coach.

Anton-Lotruglio was the Saratoga Springs High School girls' varsity coach from 2016-2018, and most recently a volunteer coach, tutor and mentor with Harlem Lacrosse down in New York City.
