Coach Flanagan came to Bard in the winter of 2012.
He brings a wealth of soccer coaching experience and time on the field. Holding his USSF “C” License and a BS in Environmental Science from the University of New Hampshire, Flanagan returned in 2012 to his hometown of Rhinebeck, N.Y., from North Carolina.
He spent the previous 15 years in the Chapel Hill, N.C., working with soccer catalog giant Eurosport, as well as coaching with revered youth soccer club Triangle FC.
As a head buyer for Eurosport Soccer Endeavors, Coach Flanagan spent six years dealing with the top soccer companies of the world providing the latest soccer gear and apparel to teams all over the country. He eventually joined the southern youth soccer powerhouse of Triangle FC, where he was appointed Director of Operations, Recreation Director, & Director of the Triangle FC Junior Academy.
During his tenure with Triangle FC, Flanagan managed to win two North Carolina State Championships, and several high profile tournaments with players of all ages and both genders. He also won a North Carolina High School Girls Championship with East Chapel Hill High School.
Flanagan lives in Rhinebeck with his wife and son.
