Catalyna Contreras-Araya Named Liberty League Rookie of the Week

ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. — Sophomore Catalyna Contreras-Araya was named the Liberty League Rookie of the Week on Monday afternoon.

In her first collegiate season, Contreras-Araya has performed well, adding to her win total on Saturday. Against Mount Holyoke, she won 12-10, 11-6, 11-4 at the no. 7 ladder. Contreras-Araya's win was the clinch for the Raptors 5-4 win.

It is Contreras-Araya's first career Rookie of the Week award and Bard's second of the season, as Essa Kyaw was named the Rookie of the Week on October 27.
