Jake Sudit named the Liberty League Rookie of the Week

| By:
ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – Bard College first-year Jake Sudit was named the Liberty League Rookie of the Week on Monday afternoon by the league office.

In a 2-0 week, Sudit proved himself as to why he should be one of the Raptors' goalkeepers. In the match-up against Sarah Lawrence, Sudit came in as the goalkeeper in the second half, playing all 45 minutes. The Raptors were a man down after a late red card in the first half, and Sudit made a tremendous penalty kick save to keep a clean sheet. Even though there were no other saves recorded, Sudit had to step in and prevent Sarah Lawrence from taking a shot by either punching out the cross passes or catching the cross passes. He is the first first-year to prevent a penalty kick conversion since we've had stats recorded in 2012.

In the game against Pratt, Sudit had two saves to help the Raptors keep a back-to-back clean sheet. He was tested early in the 49:06 mark with a shot to the bottom center and then later on had to make another save at 62:20.

Sudit becomes the first Raptor to receive this honor since Dylan Jung did on September 16, 2019.
