Parchment improves her 100m and 200m school record

The Bard College track and field team set personal bests in their events on Friday to open up Day 1 of the Liberty League Championship at RIT Track & Field Complex.

Gabrielle Parchment shined in the 100-meter dash as she improved her 100-meter school record from 12.91 to 12.85. She finished 11th out of 25 runners. Parchment's 11th-place finish is the highest place finish for Bard at the Liberty League Championship since Imani Jones' (previous 100m school record holder) 7th-place finish in the Liberty League Championship in 2014. Parchment also improved her 200-meter school record from 26.93 to 26.85.

Jynaiya Grizzle competed in her last Liberty League Championship. She ran a 13.94 in the 100m, while recording 3.99m (13-1 ¼) in the long jump.

On the men's side, Lazaros Panagiotounis and Avery Crafton both ran a personal best in the 100 meter and 200 meter. Charlie Grenadier ran a personal best in the 400 meter, as well as Johnny Henriquez throwing a personal best in the javelin throw.
