The Bard College swim team confronted six other teams on the second day of the Don Richards Invitational on Saturday. 

Freddy Coronel outswam 13 opponents in the 100-Yard Butterfly, and Julia Pelletier finished above six swimmers from other schools in the 100-Yard Freestyle.

Two swimmers recorded personal bests. Sophie Levy recorded a personal best in the 100-Yard Fly, (1:22.27), beating her previous time by over three seconds. Owen O'Reilly swam a blistering 1:20.36 in the 100-Yard Breaststroke, which was almost four seconds faster than his previous best set against Vassar. He carried it over into his 100-Yard Freestyle race, in which he also set a career time (1:01.88). 

Reece Sherf was less than three tenths behind his personal best time in the 200-Yard Freestyle. Sherf raced in his first 200-Yard Breaststroke, and Jose Rivera Corujo raced in his first 100-Yard Butterfly.

This concludes the 2024 portion of the team's schedule, as the Raptors travel to Brooklyn to take on the Bulldogs on Saturday, Jan. 11.
