TROY, N.Y. - The Bard College women's basketball team lost to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, 75-57, in a Liberty League game on Tuesday night.
The game was tied at halftime, but RPI had a big third quarter to build a 13-point lead. Bard cut it to eight early in the final quarter but couldn't get any closer.
"We battled all game long with a tough RPI team," Bard coach
Casi Donelan said. "We had contributions from everyone tonight, and that's what it's going to take to win a Liberty League game."
Bard senior
Christina Kiser hit five three-pointers and finished with 35 points, eight rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Mae Redmond added 10 points and a team-high four assists,
Olivia Couture had eight points and four rebounds, and
Puja Clements contributed three points.
"Christina continued her crusade as one of the league's most valuable players," Donelan said.
Bard's final two home games of the 2021-22 season will be this weekend, as Skidmore visits on Friday, and William Smith arrives on Saturday. Saturday's game will be Senior Day for Kiser, Couture and
Noabriali Alphonso-Gibbs.
