ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College men's lacrosse team lost to Rochester Institute of Technology, 28-2, Saturday afternoon, as the team honored its five graduating seniors.

George Goceljak were celebrated pregame, as they all will depart Bard after having major influence on the growth of the men's lacrosse program.

While the senior day ceremony might be something the players will cherish for the rest of their lives, the game that followed couldn't be forgotten soon enough.Â
The Raptors fell to RIT, the no. 3 ranked team in the country, 28-2.Â
The Tigers of RIT scored the first 12 goals of the contest, before
Emmet O'Connell got Bard on the board early in the second quarter.Â
From there, the visitors added 16 of the final 17 goals to closeout the game, as a
John Palermo man-up goal gave the Raptors their only other score of the day.Â
The loss dropped Bard to 4-9 overall and 0-9 in Liberty League play. With the win, the Tigers not only improved to 14-2 on the season and 6-1 in conference, but also secured the number one seed in the Liberty League playoffs.Â
Corey Rich recorded an assist on the Palermo goal, while
Will Hughes and
Blake Burnley each grabbed four groundballs for Bard.Â
Troy Ludtka collected 13 saves in the loss.
As for RIT, 16 players scored a goal and 18 picked up at least one point over the course of the win.Â
Up next for Bard, is its season finale on May 6th against SUNYÂ Cobleskill. The game is makeup for a contest that was postponed back in March and will begin at noon. You can follow the game right here via Live Stats and Live Video.Â
