NEW PALTZ, N.Y. - The Bard College men's soccer team lost its second straight game, 3-0, to New Paltz on Wednesday afternoon.
The Hawks (3-2) had the better of the play throughout, outshooting Bard 21-5 and limiting the Raptors to just a pair of shots on goal.
Senior Alec Johnson (Ballston Spa, NY) broke a scoreless tie in the 29th minute with a strike from 18 yards off an assist from Stephen Browne (Carle Place, NY). It remained 1-0 at halftime.
Jason Gonzalez (Woodside, NY) made it 2-0 in the 71st minute on a penalty kick. Gonzalez assisted on the final goal, which came from Sam Wasser (Melville, NY) from inside the box on the right side.
Taylor Bond made five saves for Bard.
The Raptors (3-3) next travel to Green Mountain College for a 2 p.m. contest on Saturday.
