Bard loses to Sage, 3-0

The Bard College men's soccer team is 1-1-1 after Tuesday night's loss.
Box Score TROY, N.Y. - The Bard College men's soccer team lost its first game of the 2012 season on Tuesday night, dropping a 3-0 decision to Sage in a game played at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Sage (2-1) dominated, scoring three times in the first half and outshooting Bard 15-0 in the contest.

Sophomore Gustavo Trinidad (Mamaroneck, NY) scored the eventual game-winner in the 15th minute, converting a pass from junior midfielder Kris Kallenbach (Bristol, CT). Goals by junior Scott Jarosz (Brunswick, ME) and Michael Sparrin (Ilion, NY) gave the Gators a 3-0 lead before halftime.

Bard freshman Daniel Gagne played the first half and made seven saves; fellow freshman Gabe Rudd played the second half and made one save.

Up next for Bard (1-1-1) is the Raptors Classic. Bard will play SUNY Purchase on Friday night at 7. That game will be preceded by a game between SUNY New Paltz and College of Staten Island at 5.
